Day 3 – Doggies

I love dogs so much. I love all animals in general but dogs have a very special place in my heart. One of my closest friends has the cutest doggie in the world. I know everyone says that about their own, but in her case it’s true. I went to her house this evening thinking it would be a piece of cake to get a great picture of this dog – Jessie. I was really excited. I got out of my car, knocked on the door a few times and waited for a bit wondering where my friend was – it was very unlike her. Anyway after waiting a while and sending her impatient snap chats, I saw her running down the street towards me with Jessie. As they got closer I realised what had happened. Jessie was soaked head to toe – she’d taken a little sneaky dip in the wetlands. To make matters worse she’d also ran into a spiders web, so she was drenched and webby and my hopes and dreams for capturing the extent of her cuteness on camera were dashed out the door.

Despite Jessie not looking her best, I took her photo anyway. I’ve decided the wetness and spider webs add to her character. Jessie was bribed with a lot of doggie treats in the making of her self-portrait. This is one of the few lucky shots we got of her looking at the camera (or really, her doggie biscuit). All in all, success!
