There’s something special about taking a long walk across a beach. While I was volunteering on the camp last week, we took the kids out on a five hour hike across a cliff head and stopped at lots of different points to go down to the sea and swim. everyone was exhausted by the end, but it was so nice. I think the beach is a great place to just be and reflect. I thought a lot about the year ahead, and all the things left in life that I want to pursue. For the first time in ages I’ve started getting excited about the future again. I didn’t think this was possible since Jani passed away, but I’m learning the different shades of grief. It never goes away, but it’s shaped me as a person.
