Every saturday night I go to a contemplative service where they run a meditation. There’s something really special about being in a room filled with people, where you can just sit and be present to the moment together. I love the silence, and the inner peace it brings forth. Christians believe in this meditative space we open ourselves up to meeting God, and I think this idea is beautiful. My hope for the future is that one day we can meet beyond an understanding of right and wrong, and just be present to the divine. Everyday so many walls are put up – our basic human nature is to create ‘in groups’ and ‘out groups’, us vs. them. One day I hope we can meet together beyond this mindset, and accept each others truths.
