I came to the abrupt conclusion the other night that I need to stop over thinking the future and wondering where I’ll end up, as it always stresses me out. I realise I can’t just click my fingers and magically cease in doing this, but I can start choosing to appreciate the here and now more – step by step. I can also work on letting go of the inner urge to have full control of my future, as this is impossible and a rather fruitless pursuit. Instead, I’m realising it’s better to seek happiness in my own present, rather than always holding out for tomorrow.
